In this blog, I will be writing about my top three favorite
movies of all time. Now I am part of a fully functioning movie club, so as one
can imagine, I see many movies. Let’s
start with number three. This spot goes to a recent comedy, Step Brothers. This
film came out in 2008, and starts Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly. There’s just
so many laugh out loud parts. The jokes come so often that most people have to
watch the movie twice, because the first time they’ll be laughing at one joke
and completely miss the next due to the original laughter. My number two spot
goes to a classic; Forrest Gump. This movie made Tom Hanks who he is today.
There’s part of this movie that everyone loves. Whether it be the comedy, the
dramatic war scene, or the sad part when Jenny dies. This movie is simply a
classic, and shows some major events in the 1970’s and 1980’s in United States
history. The movie tells of a young man
from the early age of maybe 6 or 7 and extends up until he is at least in his
forties. It shows the good and the bad times of being a soldier, athlete and
lover in this excellent film. And now for the moment that we’ve all been
waiting for; the number 1 spot in Austin Zelasko’s all-time favorite movie list
goes to Glory Road. Josh Lucas and Derrick Luke and the main stars of this
classic film, which takes place in a time in US history when blacks and whites
were not all unified. In this true story, coach Don Haskins gets the job as the
coach of the University of Texas El Paso Miners basketball team, and in his
first year, he recruits some of the best African American basketball players in
the country, and takes them all the way to a National Championship win. This
movie is a classic, and if you have not yet seen it, you should. Just for the
record, my honorable mention awards go out to Remember the Titans, The Jerk,
The Dark Knight Rises, and Coach Carter, as well as The Wall.
